Cama'i,

I am the daughter of Steve and Gretchen Helgason, granddaughter of the late Leonard Helgason, and great-granddaughter of the late Clara Helgason. My family has always taught me the importance of community, culture, and responsibility for future generations. These values guide my desire to serve on the Board.

After earning my bachelor's degree in business from Texas A&M University, I began my career through Afognak's Apprentice Program. That experience showed me how our companies operate from the inside and shaped my appreciation for the opportunities ANC provides. I later completed my MBA at the University of Notre Dame and built my early career in marketing and e-commerce strategy, advising major brands such as Nintendo, AT&T, Microsoft, and Minecraft.

In recent years, I made a deliberate career change into software engineering and now work at GoDaddy. That transition strengthened my abilities in data analysis, problem-solving, and building modern systems. These are all skills that are increasingly important as ANC grows, diversifies, and evaluates new opportunities.

In my personal life, I stay connected to our Alutiiq culture through classes, workshops, and crafting. I have also served the Alutiiq Museum as both a board and committee member, which deepened my appreciation for our history, language, and the stewardship required to keep our culture thriving.

I believe my background brings a modern, analytical, and technology-forward perspective to the Board. As a director, I would focus on setting measurable goals for education, career pathways, and expanding benefits across all stages of life. I also support Board term limits, so leadership remains accessible, ensuring new voices and perspectives can participate over time.

As a mom, I am motivated by the responsibility to build a future where our children and grandchildren have greater opportunities, stronger cultural connections, and long-term financial security.

Quyanaa,

Chelsea Helgason Dallal
